Comment:

I use my systems both at home and at other locations. At home, my
internet connection is through a proxy - but olpc-update does not itself
support operation through a proxy. And I don't want to be patching my
kernel every time I leave home, plus every time I come back. So I leave
my kernel set as if there were no proxy, and use olpc-update manually,
 only when visiting other locations.

My question - if I define an *empty* /security/oats-server file, will that
tell olpc-update-query to not bother to check for updates ?[[BR]][I
already have 'none' in /security/update-stream, but on 8.2.x olpc-update-
query still seems to be doing things periodically.]
