 Yes.  The workaround works with mplayer, but of course since the XO does
 not have a fast enough processor to render 1200x900 videos, the display
 size is always very small...   I tried the similar option for vlc, but I
 have been unsuccessful getting vlc to play videos with the F11 graphics
 driver.

 Is it possible to install the older graphics driver with the F11 build?
