 with cjb's patch, and my modified "powerdown SD in suspend" EC code, the
 following loop ran 7100 times on B3 #18 (sandisk) before killing it:

  i=0; while : ; do echo $((i++)); echo mem > /sys/power/state; done
 }}}
 this was with an autowack-delay of 1000 (decimal).

 i'm restarting the loop, with a sleep while awake, to guarantee there's
 time for filesystem activity.
