Comment(by wad):

 The decaying doesn't happen on a B2, opened as #9703.

 The lockup is being verified a second B3 (not the one Paul and I were
 working on earlier tonight when we first saw the problem.)

 OS39 resumes, but crashes because it loses its internal SD card (because
 it isn't power cycled ?)

 Both problems persist after a full "drop the battery" EC reset.
