 with that a software reboot the keyboard would not be re-probed.  Its only
 on power up via the power button.

 Looking at the kb detect code even in the total fail case the aux port
 should still get re-enabled.  However the timeout for that would be > 300
 ms.  In previous cases a long timeout caused problems.  The attached test
 firmware should make the delay in the 150ms range.

 Also please try a cold boot stop at OFW and see if test /mouse works.
