 SoaS uses squashfs.  Squashfs is strictly versioned; you either have 3.3
 or 4.0, and not both.  This leaves SoaS (and Fedora) with the choice of
 supporting the latest squashfs, or supporting older squashfs but not the
 latest (as present in e.g. Fedora 11, where the images are made).  If this
 seems unreasonable (which is sensible), you should complain to the
 squashfs developers for putting SoaS/Fedora in this position, rather than
 here.
