 With sugar 0.83.5 (plus mid-January sucrose packages), removable storage
 devices are not "automounted" by the XO.  When I then issued a manual
 'mount' for my SD card, no icon for that device was shown on the bottom
 edge of Journal (though hovering over that <not visible> icon's location
 caused the *palette* for that removable storage device to be shown).
