 After entering your WPA pass string at least once (will seem to fail to
 associate), did you then cancel a subsequent dialogue and then click the
 AP again? In my 8.2.1 candidate testing this did at least get me connect
 to a WPA access point, also I did some regression of old staging builds to
 help find where things broke – it's not a clear break but staging 6 was as
 good as I could find, subsequent staging builds were intermittent, and by
 15 WPA was well and truly borked. Here's some of the email thread,
