 At the moment, serial's unusable on an XO-1.5 with camera, because the
 camera driver will stomp on the serial port when it loads.

 This would be pretty annoying in a proper release.  We should consider
 merging Corbet's patch, which is (as far as I know) untested.  This bug is
 to argue about the fact that it's untested and we're less than a week away
 from ship.  :)
