Comment:

 q3a24.rom contains several fixes for the audio driver.  Since I haven't
 been able to conclusively duplicate this problem, I'm not sure that said
 fixes affect the bug in question, but it's possible.

 I'm closing the bug for now.  Please reopen it if the symptom reappears
 after upgrading to q3a24 or later.
