 I don't have full explanation for everything reported, but here's the
 background, I guess:

 There are two things that need to happen before you'll see any output from
 keyboard or touchpad or the backlight being raised again:  the DCON driver
 needs to be done resuming, and userspace needs to be running again.

 I don't know whether these both happen before the SD fails to come back,
 or if we spend some of the time dealing with SD busy-waiting inside the
 kernel and not servicing userspace, but.. we should reproduce this on a
 machine that isn't freaking out about its wifi card, and I don't think we
 should trust reports/dmesgs from machines that are doing that.  That's
 all.
