 Chris, I'm seeking to understand ... why would the 20 second hang in
 accessing SD prevent the DCON from being unfrozen?  Are other parts of the
 kernel or user processes able to execute during this time?  What is it in
 the design of the resume path that causes the DCON to unfreeze?
