 I think it should be -final or sooner. The software updater is kinda
 useless in deployments without this, since it has to contact so many sites
 (it'll be even worse now that we have more activities). Given that we
 aren't targetting G1G1 at this stage I think we should just apply the
 patch, and open an -update ticket for making things configurable for G1G1
 again afterwards.
