 Yes, Weirdness!#1 seems covered by #6995, which mentions the incorrect
 channel numbers.  Weirdness!#2 is covered by #8592 (not 8502).

 I don't have enough free time to be a reliable quick-turn tester.  I'm
 relearning that testing takes a huge amount of time.  OLPC has the
 challenges of recruiting and organizing volunteer testers.
