 For what it's worth - I go around feeeling the backs of XOs.  Typically
 they are no more than warm to the touch.

 I ran an XO 24/7 for a couple of weeks in an 80 degrees Fahrenheit room -
 doing continuous floating point calculations (0% idle).  It never got more
 than warm to the touch.
