 Here is my attempt at fixing this in the attached patch to
 /usr/share/sugar/controlpanel/model/updater.py.
 Have tested it in joyride 2414 under qemu (now #8369 seems to be fixed)
 and
 it does not abort any more.
 Not sure if this is the correct fix, but it seems to work.
