 i can reproduce it easily on debxo, but not with "standard" release, on
 the same XO, with new touchpad.

 i reproduce by resting the heel of my hand on the edge of the laptop while
 typing 'j' and 'o' repeatedly, since they fall under my middle and index
 fingers nicely.

 lots of gaps and repeats on debxo, on either VT or gnome terminal (from
 SD).

 can't get it to happen on stock system, running either sugar or XFCE (from
 jffs2).

 i'll try the same tests on an old touchpad system.
