 In the old DS implementation a type could be added to the metadata keys
 after a colon. The new one does not strip the type part, but it should for
 backwards compatibility.

 For example, Etoys saves the title as "title:text" which is stored under
 that key in the datastore, but the Journal looks for "title" so all Etoys
 projects are displayed as "Untitled".
