Comment:

 I noticed that the drawing problem described in this bug doesn't occur in
 Firefox, so I came here to add a note, and saw that erikos had reported
 this earlier. I also saw the 'MigrationHeuristic' patch mentioned here and
 appplied it. This clears up the behavior.

 So the question I have now, is why does Firefox work right and Browse
 requires this patch?
