Comment(by mikus):

 I'm the one who reported the XaoS behavior. When the user clicks on the
 XaoS icon to launch it, he is shown the pulsing "activity being launched
 screen". Some 100 seconds later that screen times out and goes away,
 revealing the actual activity-drawn screen.

 Gary Martin posted, and I verified, that the XaoS-drawn screen gets
 created immediately upon the activity being started. [Its existence is
 shown in Frame as a "default" gray circle - click on that, and see the
 activity-created screen.] But the "pulsing" screen (which apparently gets
 created *later* than the activity's own screen) HIDES what the Activity
 did. The problem is that a kid (who had clicked on the XaoS icon) would
 NOT know of the existence of the hidden screen.
