Comment:

 Looking at this again, I think I'm in favor of omitting the soft restart
 from the menu.  It's just another option, the subtleties of which could
 easily be lost on many.  For those that understand the differences, ctrl-
 alt-erase will serve its purpose well.  I argue against adding it both
 because many of the options in the forthcoming GUI control panel require a
 restart/refresh, and it would be easier to just make sure kids do a full
 restart to cover all the cases, and also because I'd much rather see
 effort put into improving the actual boot time (rather than making a soft-
 restart pretty), such that the difference is minimal anyway.
