 This is not correct.  NM is declaring, on its *internal* dbus path, that a
 network interface changed state.  Firefox is choosing to listen to this.
 Other things choose to listen to this too -- our salut/gabble connection
 logic triggers on this same signal, and starts a connection attempt to one
 of the two.  (We want to trigger a search for a gabble server on wake from
 sleep.)  Hence, removing the signal will break telepathy.
