 I find the current behavior frustrating, to be sure.  It makes the system
 feel sluggish.  I'd really like to see something done for the next release
 if it's not a huge undertaking.  Something as simple as switching to the
 next activity/back to home immediately, while the activity saves/quits in
 the background, would be a step in the right direction.  Rendering the
 activity icon in gray in the Frame would be a nice addition to this, to
 indicate that it's shutting down.
