Comment:

 I'm pushing this forward into implementation, as I agree completely with
 it.  Having previews would be a fantastic addition.  The only additional
 comment I'll make up front is that I would be perfectly fine with
 implementing this feature in a "pull" fashion, such that the preview image
 could be requested when the palette for an activity is revealed (with a
 placeholder while it transfers) if it makes this possible in terms of
 bandwidth.

 I leave other details, such as when the preview gets made (periodically,
 upon request, upon request and cached (for how long) etc.) to the
 implementor.  This may require activity participation.  Probably adding a
 method (within the activity class) for requesting a preview and gracefully
 handling the case when an activity hasn't implemented it would provide a
 way to slip it in and get additional support over time.
