#6763: Can the backlight setting be remembered?

 As mentioned in #6762 release-candidate update.1 691 has a
/etc/ohm/plugins.d/backlight.ini which specifies maximum brightness on
startup. Some medical conditions cause a person to be easily dazzled by
bright lights, and it probably drains the power more quickly as well.

Ideally, it would be nice to remember the user's preferred backlight
setting from the last run - the firmware should use this at boot time, and
the startup scripts should not change it.

At the very least, it would be nice if the startup scripts did not change
the backlight setting from what the firmware had set it to. If a user
turns down the backlight during boot, it is very annoying for it to be
immediately turned up again during startup and then have to be turned down
 again.
