Comment:

 Jim informed me today that he was persuaded by Andres that the PenTablet
 should operate in relative mode rather than full-screen absolute mode and
 that applications which desire different behavior should indicate their
 desire via XInput tweaks. This position is contrary to the one that I
 understood was desired from reading this ticket (which is fixed in
 update.1-706) and hence in our release candidates for the 8.1.1 release.
