 the difference between "rpm -Uvh" and "yum localinstall" is that the yum
 command resolves all deps.  so if you happened to be missing a rpm you
 needed it would download and get it also.  rpm doesnt do that.  so extra
 overhead is expected.  using rpm  you need to ensure all deps are present
 and accounted for.
