Comment:

 Deepak says it works for him in latest joyride, chris suspects this is a
 race (because nothing has been changed in this area)

 The executable is /usr/sbin/ohmd, it is launched during boot from
 /etc/init.d/ohm

 I'll spend some time looking into this.
