 It was an explicit choice in TurtleArt to have all the images be painted
 on the blocks. I understand than this makes i18n harder. We did this
 because professional graphics tools do a much better job of text rendering
 than any on the fly system. The process of redoing the blocks in Spanish
 took no more than a couple of hours. We feel this is a reasonable
 investment. In fact we spent more time than that debating what the
 appropriate translated words should be.

 I know that painting on the blocks can be done at build or run time but
 I'd prefer not. I'm attaching the Photoshop source graphics that we used.
 The text and block shapes are on separate layers. Replacing the text is
 then fairly easy. The code boots up and looks for the images in a
 subfolder based on locale.
