Comment:

 I now suspect that this is a school-server problem, and that it is also
 responsible for the fact that Distance works everywhere but 1CC.  Distance
 not working was a major disappointment yesterday during the demos.
 Distance might be affected differently because it uses Telepathy's stream
 tubes with unix sockets, which are not used by most other activities.
