 designed to do something special under Windows.  Under previous versions
 of Update1, the drive would be handled correctly, and only the main
 partition would appear in the Journal.  Now, neither appears, and there is
 no recognition in the GUI that any device has been plugged in.

 AFAICS, your problem is a different one. Could you open a new ticket about
 adding support for U3 drives? Thanks!
