 Don't know if this is the right ticket - I chose it bcause of this
 ticket's summary description.

 Every time I run 'olpc-update' (either for Update.1 or for Joyride), the
 timezone in sugar-control-panel gets reset to GMT.  Since the 'color'
 setting is being preserved across 'olpc-update', the 'timezone' setting
 should be preserved as well.
