Comment:

 Update.1 already has a patch that allows the device (see bug #4013) to at
 least be recovered; I don't think that would enable a running system on SD
 to survive resume.

 Whether we can do anymore before Update.1 isn't clear: our shorter term
 goal, which may or may not involve fixing the much harder underlying bug,
 is that the journal survive.

 Long term, I claim we care a lot.

 I'm closing as a duplicate.
