 The attached patch modifies these two files:
  sugar/shell/model/devices/battery.py
  sugar/shell/view/devices/battery.py

 To apply the attached patch follow these steps:
  1. Have the patch in e.g. /tmp/5867.patch
  2. Change directory to /usr/share/sugar
  3. Execute this command:   patch -p1 < /tmp/5867.patch

 Description:
  With the fix, battery.present is tested.  If it is False, the other three
 properties are not tested (they have been writing error messages to
 shell.log when there's no battery) and the "My Battery life" detal reads
 "Battery not present".
