Comment(by retro):

 I was wrong - got a better view of the crash - it ''is'' consuming all
 RAM.   This ends up crashing X - which, though entertaining - is rather
 suboptimal.

 My network connection is currently killing my upload ATM - will attach
 example file from work on Monday.
