 Why?  Each frame has a variable size prefix followed by the 802.3 frame.
 That field is used to indicate the start of the 802.3 frame.

 I tested the patch this morning with the
 [http://dev.laptop.org/pub/firmware/libertas/usb8388-5.110.22.p1.bin
 latest released firmware] and a kernel built from
 http://git.infradead.org/?p=libertas-2.6.git;a=summary
 and works as expected (Test script attached).

 But I'll hold off sending it to libertas-dev until we reach consensus.
