Comment:

 Just a cursory attempt at this, with more detail later.  I would say that
 the design for the object chooser should have a button that indicates one
 may take a photo (or video) with the camera, or record a sound with the
 mic.  Once pressed, a ''modal'' (yes, I actually mean that) alert can
 appear which provides access to the "widget" for the appropriate
 functionality.  This widget would have all the needed tools for creating
 the image, video, sound clip etc. (perhaps even offering trimming of
 sound, gain adjustments, image cropping, etc if we want down the line) and
 would have buttons for "insert image" (or whatever it might be) or
 "cancel".

 As the design for a modal alerts is really just a window, essentially, it
 should be easy to create a generic interface for the task at hand. We'll
 need technical discussion on how Erik and Bakhtiar can create such
 widgets.
