 Yes, you are.  The rebooting was unintentional: the 'urgent' flag was set
 on the upgrade; it should not have been.

 I would love to have alternate upgrade mechanisms available, but we do not
 have such.  The battleship is what we've got.  And, with all respect, the
 people who are complaining are not the target audience for the update, and
 (by and large) aren't running old builds and aren't affected by it anyway.
 You seem to have fallen in a crack here; if you'd rebooted after your 691
 upgrade you would never have had a problem.
