Comment:

 Hmm.  I think that's the symptom of booting update.1 and then falling back
 to a ship.2 build.  mako and mstone are working on fixing that for the
 next update.1 release candidate.

 See http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Update_streams to opt out of forced
 upgrades.  You really should ensure you're running a recent OFW though;
 there were some bricking issues with the RTC battery and the 650/653 OFW.
