Here are some decent sequences to use, calculated by rounding the output
 of seq 0 5 | awk '{print (($i/5)^(1.8))*15}' and similar.

 4 steps 5 values: 0,1,4,9,15

 5 steps 6 values: 0,1,3,6,10,15

 6 steps 7 values: 0,1,2,4,7,11,15

 7 steps 8 values: 0,1,2,3,5,8,11,15

8 steps 9 values: 0,1,2,3,4,6,9,12,15 (same number of steps as now)
