Comment:

 As a short-term fix the handbook is also available as a pdf-download
 without the alternating margins (which is meant for print-purposes only)
 and the current state of things has also been wikified on olpc.at:

 Also tried producing a DjVu version but failed to finish it due to lack of
 resources.

 If anyone wants to go ahead and run with it then I'd be more than happy to
 provide them with the DocBook / XML files. Realistically I won't be able
 to take care of this in the weeks ahead.

 @holt: It would be awesome to do all this at the BookSprint but I'd
 suggest to not overstretch our limited time-resources.
