Comment(by thomaswamm):

 I saw a similar failure today, with joyride-2301 which I have been testing
 about a week. I had left my XO 'Shutdown' at least 8 hours. When I
 switched it on, it started normally except WiFi failed to automagically
 connect to my access point. A half dozen manual 'Connect' attempts also
 failed. (It has previously always succeeded within 3 attempts, usually on
 first try.) Then I did 'Restart', and it connected by itself okay.
 Several additional tests, with 'Shutdown' and 'Restart' all worked okay.
 So if it is a bug, it is a rare one.

 I was not going to report this, since WiFi is subject to external radio
 interference, but then I saw this ticket already created by stonetoad.
