 Hi Dan,

 We use both udev files.  Looks like persistent-net has an entry for eth0
 only.

 To answer your question about turning off power, we do pull power
 completely (and so the device disappears from USB and requires firmware
 reloading when it comes back) rather than just set the radio off.  We're
 doing that to save more power than just turning off the radio.
