Comment:

 This bug has returned. In joyride-2301, go to
 http://www.mchawking.com/mp3s/ , click on an MP3 link. Browser displays
 the Totem browser plugin but it shows only some controls and a big gray
 circle. Clicking on a .ogg file works fine. The WebActivity log has
 {{{
 "Error: A MPEG-1 Layer 3 (MP3) decoder plugin is required to play this
 stream, but not installed."
 }}}

 From about:plugins in Browse, the Totem browser plugin claims to support
 audio/mpeg and suffix mp3.  But I think unless you've installed an MP3
 decoder into GStreamer like http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Fluendo_mp3_decoder
 , it's going to fail.

 http://www.gnome.org/projects/totem/#faq says it's Mozilla's fault:[[BR]]
  Q: Why does the browser plugin advertise itself as handling some
 file/stream types it can't handle? (e.g. why does it say it supports MP3
 in the about:plugins when it doesn't?)[[BR]]
  A: The problem is that the Mozilla/Gecko/Firefox plugin system doesn't
 allow for fine-grained advertising of those features. ...
