 This is not an exhaustive test or recomendation, just a quick pass where I
 dropped the launchwindow.py icon size to style.XLARGE_ICON_SIZE * 0.75,
 and increased the pulsingicon.py _INTERVAL to 150, launch time for Write
 goes down to ~7.8sec, and Record goes to ~13sec. Increasing _INTERVAL to
 200 (this much too slow for me though) doesn't seem to improve all that
 much, perhaps an extra 0.5sec.
