 If you startup with the usb ethernet dongle unplugged, you will associate
 with an access point. However, if you plug in the usb ethernet dongle, not
 only will you not connect via it, you will also lose your ip connection
 over the WAP. this used to work in 656, 702, 703 and 708 as I recall, so I
 would say it is a serious regression as far as G1G1 particularly.
