I have an MP laptop, CSN7490364B, which refuses to boot. Examining the
error messages and the filesystem (thanks, Michael), leads to the
conclusion that the shallow copy on first boot failed. I performed the
upgrade, and did not interrupt the first boot.

The history of this laptop is that it was X78 in our collaboration and
networking testbed. It had been running build 703 and Q2D13 for several
days. Unfortunately, what was supposed to simply be a configuration key
turned out to be an upgrade key, with a corrupted image on it and a
reconfiguration turned into an aborted install.

I placed a clean copy of signed 703 on an install key and reinstalled the
OS. I watched it overwrite the NAND with the new image. On reboot, the
machine never finished booting up, failing in the attempt to mount
 /sysroot/versions onto /sysroot/versions/run/703/versions (probably
 because /sysroot/versions/run/703 doesn't have a versions subdir ?)

The machine is sitting in my office, awaiting further investigation by any
 interested parties.
