Comment:

 The problem is that downloading using the browser is occupying large
 amounts of RAM for indeterminate time after apparently exiting the
 browser.  So having it in the invisible background is really not
 reasonable; downloading should probably be implemented by wget, or some
 such utility, and be a process separate from the browser.

 So unless someone has some clever way to fix this easily, I think this
 isn't even something we can do for FRS, probably.  I'm putting this at FRS
 just so that people spend 5 minutes to see if there is a simple solution;
 else push to 1.1.
