 That's just what you're used to from Windows-like desktop systems, and it
 isn't good. Needless mouse clicks encourage repetitive stress injury,
 which can be crippling. It's also slower to use the UI that way.

 Better:

 1. hide the mouse when typing

 2. highlight the widget with keyboard focus
