 I'm not sure that "simple USB copy" will be sufficient to allow sharing on
 the school server & restore of lost files.  Filename uniqueness isn't a
 blocker: human readable prefix and/or suffix would work acceptably.
 Also/alternatively, a hardlinked or symlinked index can be used to avoid
 changing the primary name of the file in the datastore.
